Cambridge defender Dave Partridge may be recalled to the starting XI after missing the midweek game with Crawley with concussion.Striker Daryl Clare is pushing for a place in the squad but is unlikely to play from the start.

Southport are set to recall captain Adam Flynn after he missed the midweek game against Kidderminster due to coaching commitments in Kenya.

Southport manager Liam Watson has a fully-fit squad to choose from.

Cambridge boss Martin Ling told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I'm obviously a little disappointed in terms of our points return from the opening two games, but we've played two teams I think will be there or thereabout at the end of the season and have coped with both.

"We need to push forward and get a win against Southport on Saturday, but their results have been topsy-turvy to say the least, so we don't quite know what to expect.

"The league table is straight up on the television, you're under instant pressure, but I'm only really interested in what's happening after two months."
