Mansfield have doubts over defender Paul Stonehouse who has been suffering with a thigh injury.Striker Rob Duffy will compete with Luke Medley for a place alongside Paul Connor in attack.

Striker Daryl Clare could make his first start for Cambridge United if he recovers from a virus.

Reserve goalkeeper Danny Naisbitt is also struggling with a virus but James Jennings could return after missing the draw with Tamworth with a knee problem.

Cambridge United boss Martin Ling told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire:

"Mansfield are one of a number of sides who've had a half decent start and they're a team where you need to be aware of their threats.

"They're one of about 12 teams who'll think they've got a divine right to get out of this league because they're an ex-league club, but it's about what you are now not what you have been.

"I fully expect Luton to be in the top five, but it's hard to pick the other four and Mansfield could certainly be one of those sides."
