Cambridge United have been highly active today on the last day of the transfer window.

Matt Bloomer has mutually agreed to terminate his contract, with the player signing terms with Grimsby Town.

Unpopular goalkeeper Paul Crichton has been farmed out on loan to Kings Lynn, after being dropped from the squad on Saturday after disciplinary action. He has been replaced in the squad by Dan Crane, who was released yesterday by Rushden and Diamonds.

Dean Holdsworth has left the club after his 1 month deal expired. His place in the squad has been taken by ex United youth player Dan Chillingworth, who left the Abbey two seasons ago for the heady heights of Rushden. Fingers crossed he can increase his previous goals to game ratio!!

And finally for now, ex Ipswich youth product Aidan Collins, a 6'2 centre back has been snapped up by Jimmy Quinn on a one month non contract basis.

Best of luck to all the departees at their new clubs, but more importantly, to all the new United boys.
